The chirps at the window
The fluttering tiny wings
The sweet gleeful spirits
Who at the bushside sing
Our first ever feathered pals
From childhood fairytales
The amicable backyard beings
Do leave behind a sorry trail
The sparrows are vanishing
So lets come all, come one
To bring back the playful chirp
The twitter of the little ones
Let’s keep out a little pot
And feed some millets too
Let’s give them a world of joy
Coz they’re happiness for me and you!
Sparrows have been the very first avians we’ve learned about and perhaps our best backyard pals too! Its time we give back the happiness they’ve been giving us by protecting their shelters and habitats, and making their life safe and gleeful.
